This is a very rare King William IVth flintlock lock for a saddle carbine. It features a slide safety and an “internal” frizzen spring. The lock plate measures 5.5 inches overall and is marked with a crown over TOWER with a W.R. on either side and dated 1835. This is fully functional, patina intact, the safety works and it has the correct internal maker markings.
